48th Image Award Nominations - Literary Categories

The NAACP Image Award an award bestowed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  The award honors outstanding achievements by people of color in film, television, music, and literature.  The awards are voted on by members of the NAACP.

The NAACP announced nominees for its 48th annual Image Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of people of color in Television, Recording (Music), Literary (Books), Motion Picture, Documentary (film and television), Writing (for film and television), Directing (for film and television), and Animated/CGI (for film and television).  Winners will be announced Saturday, February 11, 2017 during a ceremony airing live on TV One at 9PM EST.  Actor Anthony Anderson will host.

2016 Will Eisner Comics Industry Awards Announced - Complete Winners List

The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, also simply know as the “Eisner Awards,” are awards annually given for creative achievement in American comic books.  The awards are named for pioneering comic book writer, artist, and publisher, Will Eisner.  Some consider the Eisner Awards to be the preeminent awards that honor American comic books, even referring to the awards as “the Oscars of comic books” (which is so obviously ridiculous).

The Eisner Awards also include the Comic Industry's Hall of Fame.  The Eisner Awards are associated with the annual Comic-Con International convention held in San Diego, California, in July.  The Eisner Awards have been given annually since 1988, with the exception of 1990.

The 2016 Eisner Award nominations were announced Tuesday, April 19, 2016.  They winners were revealed Friday, July 22, 2016 at a gala ceremony held during San Diego Comic-Con International 2016.

"Selma," "black-ish" Dominate 2015 NAACP Image Awards - Complete Winners List

The NAACP Image Award is an award bestowed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  The award honors outstanding achievements by people of color in film, television, music, and literature.  The awards are voted on by members of the NAACP.

2015 NAACP Image Award Nominations - Television Categories

The NAACP Image Award an award bestowed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  The award honors outstanding achievements by people of color in film, television, music, and literature.  The awards are voted on by members of the NAACP.

The nominations for the 46th NAACP Image Awards were recently announced.  The categories are divided into eight groups:  Television, Recording (Music), Literary (Books), Motion Picture, Documentary (film and television), Writing (for film and television), Directing (for film and television), and Animated/CGI (for film and television).

The 2015 NAACP Image Awards will be presented in a 2-hour special that will air live on Friday, February 6, 2015 on TV One at 9pm ET/8CT (tape-delayed for PT – Pacific Time).  The ceremony will be preceded by a one-hour pre-show, which will air live from the red carpet at 8pm ET/7CT (PT tape-delayed).

The NAACP Image Award an award bestowed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  The award honors outstanding achievements by people of color in film, television, music, and literature.  The awards are voted on by members of the NAACP.

The 45th NAACP Image Awards categories are divided into seven groups:  Television, Recording (Music), Literary (Books), Motion Picture, Documentary (film and television), Writing (for film and television), and Directing (for film and television).

The 2014 / 45th NAACP Image Awards were presented Saturday, February 22, 2014.  Anthony Anderson hosted the ceremony, and Dennis Haysbert was the in-show announcer.

The “Entertainer of the Year” award, which was voted on by members of the NAACP and non-members, was announced during the ceremony and the winner is Kevin Hart.  The other nominees were Beyonce, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Nicole Beharie, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell Williams, Steve Harvey, and Tyler Perry

The 2014 NAACP Image Award Nominations - Television Categories
