Image Comics Announces Sci-Fi Comic Book, "Little Bird"

PORTLAND, OR — Director/screenwriter Darcy Van Poelgeest boasts a long list of awards and accolades for his storytelling prowess and brings the same writing finesse to Ian Bertram’s breathtakingly detailed artwork in the gorgeous, hyper-detailed miniseries Little Bird launching from Image Comics this March.

In the world of Little Bird, North America has been devastated by three decades of war as the American Empire expands under an ultra-nationalist, theocratic government. But from the ashes of defeat rises Little Bird, a 12-year old girl who sets out to reignite the Canadian Resistance and discover her own identity in a world on fire.

The New ACCEL WORLD: INFINITE BURST Feature Film Available On Home Video This Fall

The film is a sequel to the 2012 ACCEL WORLD animated series, which are based on the light novels of the same title written by Reki Kawahara. ACCEL WORLD: INFINITE BURST will be released this Fall on Blu-ray and DVD, with special extras including the two OVAs “Reverberation” and “Vacation.”

In ACCEL WORLD: INFINITE BURST, Haruyuki and his friends are playing the online fighting game Brain Burst, locked in a territory battle with a rival group as usual. But things take an unexpected turn when a mysterious black cloud kicks them out of the game and prevents them from reentering. The seemingly impossible phenomenon isn’t just an isolated incident—it’s spreading and preventing all Burst Linkers from accelerating. Haruyuki and the others soon learn that to protect the bond that connects them, they must confront a powerful ancient being that has been sealed away since the dawn of the “Accelerated World”!

2018 Austin Film Festival Reveals Film Program First Wave

Austin Film Festival Reveals First Wave of Films for 25th Anniversary, Including Retrospective Presented by Roger Corman and Robert Rodriguez

Thirty years after THE DECLINE, THE FALL OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE explores the predominance of capitalism in a society where all other values seem to have crumbled. Pierre-Paul Daoust, 36, an intellectual with a PhD in philosophy is forced to work as a deliveryman to afford a decent living. 2018 / 90th Academy Awards Announced - Complete Winners List

The Academy Awards is an American film accolade.  It is best known as the “Oscars,” and is an annual awards ceremony honoring cinematic achievements primarily in the American film industry. The 90th Oscars nominations in 24 categories were announced on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.  Oscars for outstanding film achievements of 2017 were presented on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and was televised live on the ABC Television Network at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.  The Oscars ceremony was also televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.  Jimmy Kimmel acted as host for the ceremony.
