Regina King is Frustrated with Sony Pictures over "The Boondocks"
I found this article over at AOL Black Voices: Regina King, the voice of brothers Huey and Riley Freeman, on Cartoon Network's, "The Boondocks," expresses frustration with the series' producer, Sony Pictures, over the gap between the second season of the hit animated series and the third season. Although there hasn't been an official announcement, Aaron McGruder has posted statements on the Web saying that the third season of "The Boondocks" will happen, perhaps as early as the end of March.
My favorite quote:
"'Boondocks could be so bigger than what it is," the former '227' actress furthered. "If I had the money to buy 'The Boondocks' off Sony, I would because all of you would be wearing 'Boondocks' T-shirts and there would be Huey and Riley dolls. I would capitalize off of that, and I would be a very rich woman."
I'm also curious as to why the series has been delayed for so long.

Mania.com Says Michael Jackson is the Most Influential African-American in Sci-Fi
In honor of Black History Month, Mania.com produced this list: "10 Most Influential African Americans In Sci Fi."
I posted this link here instead of at my other blog, I Reads You, because most of the people on this list are actors:
10. Richard Roundtree
9. Avery Brooks
8. Michael Dorn
7. Dwayne McDuffie
6. Octavia Butler - the late author of Kindred, Fledgling, the series Lilith's Brood, and others.
5. Duane Jones
4. Samuel L. Jackson
3. Will Smith
2. Nichelle Nichols
1. Michael Jackson
I'm too busy right now to comment on this to the extent that I'd like, but I'll come back to it.
Author Samuel Delany is not on this list.

50 Cent Working on New Film
Hip-Hop Wired posted this short piece on Curtis Jackson AKA 50 Cent's efforts in the film world.
This is how the post begins: As the rap career of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues to slowly fizzle into obscurity...
Apparently the rapper/actor has begun work on a new film currently entitled "Things Fall Apart," which he will also produce and co-writer. Directed by Mario Van Peebles, the film will feature Fitty as a football player.
