26 Recordings Make 2020 Grammy Hall of Fame Inductions

GRAMMY Hall Of Fame® Welcomes Recordings by Neil Diamond, Eurythmics, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, The Police, Nancy Sinatra and More as 2020 Inductions

26 Recordings Added to Iconic Catalog Residing at the GRAMMY Museum®

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Recording Academy® welcomes the newest inductions to its distinguished GRAMMY Hall Of Fame®, continuing its ongoing commitment to preserving and celebrating timeless recordings. This year’s additions recognize a diverse range of both single and album recordings at least 25 years old that exhibit qualitative or historical significance. Recordings are reviewed each year by a special member committee comprised of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts, with final approval by the Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. With 26 new titles, the Hall, now in its 47th year, currently totals 1,114 recordings. The 2020 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame inductions are available to stream via a playlist here.

The 2020 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame inductees range from Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline (Good Times Never Seemed So Good)" to Joni Mitchell's Clouds. The list also features Eurhythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)," Elton John's "Tiny Dancer," Devo's Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, Swan Silvertones' "Oh Mary Don't You Weep," and Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back. Other inductees include recordings by the Allman Brothers Band, the Chuck Wagon Gang, Patsy Cline, Dick Dale And The Del-Tones, Bo Diddley, Peter Frampton, the King Cole Trio, Skip James, James P. Johnson, Machito, Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, The Police, Blind Alfred Reed, Joshua Rifkin, Nancy Sinatra, the Stanley Brothers & The Clinch Mountain Boys, The Surfaris, and Mary Lou Williams.

This year's nominees reflect a melting pot of artistic innovation that defined the year in music, showcasing the unparalleled craftsmanship of established artists and the industry-shifting impact of rising music creators.

Leading nominees Lizzo (8), Billie Eilish (6) and Lil Nas X (6) not only topped the charts but ignited a cultural conversation around their genre-bending hits. 2019 Latin Grammy Awards to Air on Univision Nov. 14th

Ricky Martin, Roselyn Sánchez, and Paz Vega to Host the 20th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®

The Biggest Night in Latin Music® to air live on the Univision Network Nov. 14 from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central)

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Latin Recording Academy® announced that three-time Latin GRAMMY® winner, 2006 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year™, and two-time GRAMMY® winner, Ricky Martin, will host the 20th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® alongside internationally renowned actresses Roselyn Sánchez and Paz Vega. The 20th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live on Univision from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, November 14, 2020 from 8-11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).

Martin, who will host for the first time, has been a part of The Latin Recording Academy’s history since the inaugural Latin GRAMMY Awards in 2000, where he was nominated for two awards and delivered one of the most memorable performances to date. Sánchez joins as a host for the fourth time, after hosting the 16th, 17th, and 18th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. Vega will host the show for the first time.

Ricky Martin
Martin is one of the leading international Latin multifaceted artists in the world beloved by fans worldwide for his instinctive understanding of rhythm, passion for performing, and equal compassion for giving. One of the best-selling international and Latin artists of all time, Martin has sold more than 95 million albums and continues to perform to sold-out stadium and arena audiences throughout the world.

Besides his worldwide musical success, Martin is dedicated to the efforts of the Ricky Martin Foundation, an organization that advocates for the well-being of children around the globe in critical areas such as social justice, education, and health. After the catastrophic hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico in 2017, the Ricky Martin Foundation organized the Puerto Rico Relief Fund with an initial goal to raise $6 million in aid. Roselyn Sánchez
Sánchez is a Puerto Rican actress, model, and singer. At the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, she was nominated for Best Music Video. She also took the stage at the 3rd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards for a special performance with Carlos Vives. A fearless advocate for the well-being of animals, she is heavily involved with organizations such as PETA and American Humane. Most recently, she played the role of Gigi Mendoza in the series "Grand Hotel." Sánchez is making her directorial debut in the upcoming film, Satos, which is set in an animal shelter after the devastating destruction of Hurricane Maria. Additionally, Sánchez and her husband will be launching a podcast He Said…Ella Dijo, covering their personal and professional lives.

Paz Vega
Vega is an award-winning international actress who has starred in many films in Europe, North America, and Latin America, filming in Spanish, English, French, and Italian. Her films have been directed by prestigious directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, Frank Miller, Danis Tanovic, Oliver Parker, Michele Placido, and the Taviani Brothers, and she has starred alongside many international stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Andie McDowell, Eva Mendes, Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Tim Roth, Sarah Jessica Parker, Claudia Cardinale, Carmen Maura, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Rob Lowe; as well as the legendary Christopher Lee and Morgan Freeman, among others. The Latin GRAMMY Awards are voted on by The Latin Recording Academy's international membership body of music creators, who represent all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, musicians, producers, and mixing and studio engineers. This year's nominees were selected from approximately 15,500 submissions across 50 categories, and reflect a diverse range of established artists and newcomers who released recordings during the eligibility period (June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019).

The final round of voting to determine Latin GRAMMY® winners will begin October 3, 2019. Winners will be revealed by The Latin Recording Academy on November 14, 2019 at the 20th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards' Premiere and telecast ceremonies. The telecast will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on the Univision Network from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT.

The 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards® to Air Live on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, and the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards to Air Live on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Recording Academy™ and CBS announced the dates for Music's Biggest Night® in 2020 and 2021. The 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards® will air on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, and the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® will air on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. As the only peer-selected music award, the GRAMMY® is voted on by the Recording Academy's membership body of music makers who represent all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers, and will honor recordings released within the eligibility year.

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eight-time GRAMMY® winner Dolly Parton will be honored at the 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, it was announced by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy™. Proceeds from the 29th annual benefit gala will provide essential support for MusiCares (www.musicares.org), a charity founded by the Recording Academy that ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need. The tribute will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center two nights prior to the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards®.

Parton will be the first artist from the Nashville music community to be honored by MusiCares. She is being recognized as the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year for her considerable creative accomplishments and her longtime support of a number of causes through her Dollywood Foundation, including the Imagination Library, which, since 1996, has provided more than 100 million books to children from birth to 5 years of age in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the U.K.

The MusiCares Person of the Year tribute ceremony is one of the most prestigious events held during GRAMMY Week. The Person of the Year gala will begin with a reception and silent auction offering an exclusive and unparalleled selection of luxury items, VIP experiences, and one-of-a-kind celebrity memorabilia for bidding guests. The reception and silent auction will be followed by a gala dinner sponsored by AEG; a live auction; a tribute concert featuring renowned musicians and other artists; and the award presentation.

The celebration culminates with the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019. The telecast will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
