MOVIES - From THR: David Harbour will join actor Noah Centineo in the latest "Rambo" film, "John Rambo." Centineo will play John Rambo. Harbour will apparently play "Major Trautman," Rambo's commanding officer, a role originated by the late Richard Crenna in the film, "First Blood" (1982).
AMAZON - From Deadline: Amazon MGM Studios is developing a live-action remake of the 1992 animated film, "FernGully: The Last Rainforest." Marielle Heller is set to direct the film from her own script.
MOVIES - From Deadline: Over 1000 Hollywood figures sign an open letter opposing the merger of Skydance Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. The signees include J.J. Abrams, Glenn Close, Bryan Cranston, Jane Fonda, Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Stewart, and Ben Stiller, to name a few.
BOX OFFICE - From BoxOfficePro: The winner of the 4/10 to 4/12/2026 weekend box office is Universal/Illumination Entertainment's "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" with an estimated take of 69 million dollars.
STREAMING - From Fangoria: HBO's popular horror anthology series, "Tales from the Crypt" (1989-96) is finally coming to streaming. The service, "Shudder," will carry all seven seasons, beginning May 1st, 2026.

From THR: Canadian television creator, writer, and puppeteer, Sid Krofft, has died at the age of 96, Friday, April 10, 2026. With his younger brother, the late Marty Krofft (1937-2023), Sid formed the production company, Sid and Marty Krofft Pictures, through which they made numerous children's television and variety programs. The best known were "H.R. Pufnstuf" (1969), "The Banana Splits" (1968-70), "Lidsville" (1971), "Sigmund the Sea Monsters" (1973-75), and "Land of the Lost" (1974-76), to name a few. In 2018, both brothers received an "Lifetime Achievement" Emmy Award. Previously, Sid shared three Daytime Emmy Award nominations with his brother and their collaborators.
From THR: The stage, film, and television actor, Carl W. Crudup, has died at the age of 79, January 10, 2026 after a battle with prostate cancer it was recently reported. Over a five decade career, Crudup appeared in such TV series as PBS's "Great Performances," "The Six Million Dollar Man," "The Rockford Files," "ER," and Marvel's "Agent Carter," to name a few.
